ABOUT

I'm drawn to pattern, shape and colour. It comes easily to notice and to create — and yet it's a visual puzzle I have to solve every time.

I carry a visual library in my head: images, shapes, objects, spontaneous collages of life. These images will merge into a porcelain object like this vase. 

I went looking for the perfect fiery poppy red glaze recipe for this design, I fell in love with this matte, bold red, and is now a permanent part of my glaze palette recipes developed in my studio.

Dimensions - height 25 cm, diameter 10 cm

Materials - earthenware - the interior of the vase is glazed, outside surface is a mix of applied matte high pigmented glazes and unglazed areas
