Bold patterned porcelain vase by Emma Odenkirchen

Handbuilt from porcelain clay in my studio in the Netherlands. The pattern begins with colour studies and sketches — crayons on paper, brushes on clay — until it clicks into place like a visual puzzle. Decorated with glazes and techniques I developed myself over the years.

Details: The interior of the vase is glazed, outside surface is a mix of applied matte glazes, smaragd green coloured clay and unglazed areas
